Poor Boy Shuffle was formed in January 2007 when Colin Bright answered an online ad from John Benton to form a covers band. In March 2007 Pete Holloway joined to complete the line up.

The bands name was taken from a Creedence Clearwater Revival song “We were all big fans and was playing a lot of their classic songs” and in June 2007 we were on the road. December 2007 Taffy joined us to fill out the sound and add some more vocals.

The band was very busy in 2008 and with regret Colin Bright left us in the August to pursue other projects. Taffy moved over to main vocalist and Laurence Wilmshurst joined us on lead guitar. The band now has added classic songs from the 50s to 90s and are rapidly becoming Poole’s most exciting covers/function band.
