Showcase Battle of the Bands will form a key part of the Swan's musical lineup for the first half of 2009. Its duration and format moves away from other Battle of the Bands competitions; it covers all genres, ages, lineups, volumes and levels of experience. It is also open to those wishing to play covers, original material, or a combination. Also unlike other competitions it is completely free for the bands to enter.

There are fantastic prizes for the bands that progress to the later stages of the competition. What's best is that YOU get to choose who goes through to the next rounds. There will be no panel of judges - the crowd get their say!
